Ariella is our beautiful 3-year-old daughter with a rare genetic condition called SYT1 syndrome. She is non-verbal and unable to walk, but she is the happiest little girl with the brightest smile. Although life has already brought her many challenges, she continues to shine with the brightest smile and the warmest heart.
Ariella was born three weeks early by emergency C-section. Soon after, we learned she has a very rare genetic condition called Baker-Gordon Syndrome (BAGOS), also known as SYT1-associated neurodevelopmental disorder. This condition affects how the brain communicates, and it can cause difficulties such as developmental delays, low muscle tone, vision problems, and being non-verbal.
Right now, Ariella cannot speak or walk — but she works so hard every single day. She has regular physiotherapy, speech and language support, and has even started oxygen chamber therapy. Despite her struggles, she is the happiest little girl, full of laughter and determination.
Our biggest dream is to see Ariella take her very first steps. We want to give her every opportunity to grow, to learn, and to live life to the fullest.
