This Just4Children appeal supports Teddy, a young boy with severe epilepsy and complex disabilities, helping fund vital equipment, therapies, and specialist support to improve his comfort, safety, and quality of life.
This Just4Children appeal has been set up to support Teddy, a young boy living with severe epilepsy and complex neurological disabilities caused by hypoxic-ischaemic encephalopathy (HIE) and early infantile epileptic encephalopathy (EIEE).
Teddy requires full-time care and support. He is unable to walk or talk and experiences frequent, unpredictable seizures that significantly affect his daily life and development. He also lives with additional complex needs that require ongoing monitoring and specialist input.
Over the past five years, fundraising has enabled access to essential specialist equipment, therapies, and resources that are not always available through statutory services. As Teddy continues to grow, his needs change, meaning equipment must be reviewed, adapted, or replaced, and ongoing therapeutic support remains vital.
This renewed appeal aims to ensure Teddy can continue to access the specialist support he requires. This includes appropriate seating and mobility equipment, sensory resources, therapies, and other items that promote comfort, safety, postural support, and inclusion. Funds raised will help meet Teddy’s ongoing and future needs, supporting his care and wellbeing as he grows, and helping to ensure he can experience the best possible quality of life.
