Just4Children are fundraising to enable Stanley to obtain surgeries, therapy and specialist equipment to help him keep mobile with a diagnosis of Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia (HSP) which is a progressive genetic condition. We are trying to give Stan the best possible childhood we can.
Stanley has a diagnosis of Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia (HSP) which is a genetic condition that is progressive. As of yet there is no cure. So far with the help of fundraising we have managed to get Stanley to America to have Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR which is spinal surgery) and PERC’s (tendon lengthening surgery) on both of his legs. With the help of this and ongoing Physiotherapy, Stanley is currently out of his wheelchair.
Stanley will soon need more tendon lengthening surgery and in the future will require surgery on both of his feet. We are continuing to fundraise for Stanley to help with the costs towards his surgeries, ongoing physiotherapy, equipment and shoes and night splints which are all helping towards keeping Stanley mobile and giving him the best possible childhood that we can give him.
