Just4Children want to help Sophie access life-changing therapy to give her extra support to keep progressing and to increase her independence and confidence.
Our beautiful daughter Sophie is 15 years old from Manningtree in Essex. She lives with hemiplegic cerebral palsy, a condition that affects the movement and strength on one side of her body. Every day, she faces challenges most of us never have to think about — things like walking, keeping her balance, or getting dressed — but she does it all with incredible courage and a smile that lights up the room.
Sophie is bright, funny, full of life, and determined to be as independent as possible. But the truth is, she needs help to reach her full potential — and that is why we are fundraising for Just4Children.
Just4Children hope to raise money for private physiotherapy and hydrotherapy, treatments that could make a huge difference to Sophie’s quality of life. These therapies can help her build strength, improve her mobility, and reduce pain and stiffness. They give her the chance to move more freely, grow in confidence, and simply enjoy being a teenager.
Sadly, the therapy Sophie needs is not available often enough through the NHS, and the cost of private treatment is more than we can manage on our own. That is why we are reaching out — to friends, family, and kind strangers — for support.
If you can give anything at all, please know that it will go directly towards helping Sophie access the care she deserves. You will be helping her walk a little taller, move with more freedom, and live her life with the dignity and joy every child deserves.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of Sophie’s journey
