Just4Children are fundraising to provide Sofia with regular physiotherapy and specialist equipment to help her to live life to the full.
Hi, my Name is Vicky and am writing this for my daughter Sofia who is 3 years old from Liverpool. Life has been super hard for Sofia with little help and my daughter deserves a chance in this world.
So, here is her story. Sofia was born on the 10th August 2022 and was born perfectly fine and my pregnancy was amazing. When Sofia was 24 hours old she had her first seizure and that’s when our journey started. She was diagnosed with a rare genetic condition with Grin2a and CIC Pathogenic disorders.
Sofia has a complex medical condition including epilepsy with uncontrollable seizures, is peg fed and has Horner and Harlequin syndromes. In addition, she still has no head control nor back control and can not walk.
She is such a happy smiley little girl and I want to give her the world and give her a chance at things in life, and with help from private intensive physio therapy I know she will be able to achieve things but these come at a cost. Just4Children are also trying to raise monies for a safe sleep bed as well for with a specialist mattress as I have found my child unfortunately face down a few times from seizures. I just want to keep her safe and alive.
My other 3 children have been through so much. They’ve had to watch their baby sister be rushed in and out of hospital, they’ve had to adjust to routines constantly changing, and they’ve had to cope with things no child should have to face. Yet they’ve stayed strong, loving, patient, and brave through it all. They are like Sofia’s 3 little nurse helpers and I know this is a wish for them for their baby sister to get the help and support she needs to give her a better life and keep her safe.
Sofia is an incredible little girl who needs more support to have a better quality of life. She has so much potential that we are desperate to help her with. We are so grateful for any help or support we can receive.
