Marley’s Mission

After being born prematurely, Marley has recently been diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. Any donation, no matter how small, would help Just4Children cover the cost of vital therapies and specialist equipment to support him on his journey.

Marley is from Bebington in the Wirral, He was born prematurely at just 27 weeks, weighing only 2lb. He spent the first four months of his life in hospital before finally coming home on oxygen. By 11 months old, Marley was able to breathe completely unaided—an incredible milestone and the first of many hurdles he would overcome.

Marley continued to thrive, although always slightly behind his peers, something we had come to expect. However, at two and a half years old, when he was still unable to walk, an MRI was carried out to ensure nothing had been missed. Sadly, the scan confirmed that Marley has Cerebral Palsy. From that moment, our journey began to help him reach his full potential and gain as much independence as possible.

Marley is incredibly lucky to already receive support through the NHS, for which we are extremely grateful. Alongside this, he attends weekly therapy sessions at Blue Skies Ahead, which have been hugely beneficial. We are also exploring additional therapies such as Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, Hippotherapy, and specialist equipment for home use, including a Hypervibe plate to support his development.

Unfortunately, these therapies and resources come at a significant cost and are simply not affordable without fundraising.

Despite his very difficult start in life, Marley is the happiest little boy you could ever meet. He never complains and brings an immeasurable amount of love and joy to our family every single day. Our greatest hope is to help ensure that his beautiful smile never fades and to give him the best possible chance of one day walking independently.

We are truly grateful for any help, support, or donations. Every little bit really does make a difference.

Thank you for taking the time to read Marley’s story and for supporting him on his journey.
