Just4Children want to enable Konstantinos have as many therapies as possible, both weekly and annual intensive therapies and also to fund equipment and home adaptations to support his daily activities.
Konstantinos is aged 5 from Greenwich in London. He was born unexpectedly unwell on 16 March 2018. He did not manage to breathe for over 20 minutes and he incurred a severe brain injury. Since that day he has been fighting and we are amazed by how strong he is. Despite the difficulties he is facing on a daily basis he has managed to achieve significant improvements and he continues to fight and move forward everyday.
Konstantinos is an everyday hero in the truest sense of the word. He has multiple seizures per day, cannot feed orally or swallow, is non mobile and his sight is impaired. Despite all these difficulties everyday he achieves something new and he also manages to have fun.
We need your help in order to be able to support Konstantinos as much as we can with his therapies and equipment. The cost of his therapies and equipment is between £20,000 to £30,000 every year. At the moment the main therapy he attends is an intensive physio, occupational and speech and feeding therapy programme at the NAPA centre in Boston once a year and we are looking to continue this programme once or twice per year.
Konstantinos also undertakes on a weekly basis physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, music therapy, hydrotherapy as well as Feldenkrais, sensory and visual stimulation sessions. He also requires specialized equipment for sitting, standing, suctioning and feeding. We are also looking to fund home adaptations which will be essential as Konstantinos grows older.
These therapies and equipment really do benefit Konstantinos and allow him to achieve his full potential and we are grateful for your support.
