Jude is a very brave, 7 year old boy from East Sussex. Jude has spastic diplegia cerebral palsy, visual impairment and other complex needs.
Your support is needed to help Jude maintain his current level of mobility, improve his quality of life, and to help him reach the functional independence he wishes to have.
Jude is a surviving identical twin, born at 31 weeks. Jude was critically ill at birth and spent 5 weeks in NICU. Jude had respiratory distress syndrome during his time in hospital which resulted in several brain injuries causing cerebral palsy and other developmental issues. In the past the incredible donors for Just4Children helped raise enough funds for Jude to have selective dorsal rhizotomy surgery at age 3. The removal of spasticity from Jude’s lower limbs significantly improved Jude’s mobility and quality of life.
Cerebral palsy is a lifelong condition that can be regressive if not managed correctly by regular specialist therapies and postural management equipment. Being disabled is very expensive and Any funds raised will be for physiotherapy, OT, conductive education and any specialist equipment Jude requires to live a healthy and happy life.
