Just4Children are fundraising to acquire a wheelchair accessible vehicle for Violet and to provide therapy and specialist equipment to improve Violet’s quality of life at home.
Meet Violet, a bright and beautiful 4-year-old from County Antrim. Like any little girl, she loves laughter, cuddles, and the simple joys of childhood. But Violet’s journey is different.
Born with cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and cortical visual impairment (CVI), every day presents new challenges. While other children run, jump, and play with ease, Violet faces a world that isn’t built for her. Yet, she never gives up. She is a fighter with a heart full of determination.
Violet was born by emergency c-section 10 weeks early, in November 2020, due to a rupture in her mum’s placenta. Up until then Violet’s pregnancy had been normal. The rupture had been causing internal bleeding, resulting in Violet’s brain being starved of oxygen for some time and causing significant damage to both sides of her central lobe.
Violet was diagnosed within a few days of arriving in ICU at Craigavon, which was heart-breaking!
A Future Full of Possibilities
With the right therapy, specialist equipment, and a wheelchair-accessible vehicle (WAV), Violet can have the life she deserves—one filled with adventure, independence, and hope. These essentials will allow her to move more freely, access vital therapy, and explore the world alongside her family.
How You Can Help
We need to raise £25,000 to give Violet the tools to thrive. Every donation, big or small, brings us one step closer to:
Specialist therapy to improve her mobility and communication
Adaptive equipment to support her daily life
A WAV vehicle so she can travel safely and comfortably – monies will go here first
