Help Hope Get to the Melillo Center

Just4Children are fundraising to help Hope, who has autism, travel to New York for a neurodevelopmental therapy programme at the Melillo Centre, following remarkable progress with their home programme.

Our beautiful daughter Hope is 7 years old and has non-verbal autism. Over the summer, we were gifted a ground-breaking at-home therapy programme (called the Melillo Method) designed to strengthen connections between different areas of the brain, and we’ve seen some truly miraculous improvements, particularly in her speech. We got support from Dr Melillo and his team via Zoom.

We’ve now been given an amazing opportunity to take Hope to the Melillo Center in New York for a two-week intensive programme, and Just4Children are hoping to raise £18,750 to help make it happen. We haven’t come to this decision lightly. We know £18,750 is a lot of money, but after much deliberation and prayer, we’ve decided to share our story publicly for the first time ever with the hope that our friends and family will support us.

Please watch our video to hear Hope’s story, the amazing progress she’s made and why this opportunity means so much to us. Any donation or share would mean the world to our family.

We’re hoping to raise money to help cover:

Hope’s two-week intensive programme at the Melillo Center
Return flights from Ireland to New York and local travel
Accommodation at the charity house (very cheap but not free)
Specialist laboratory testing recommended by the team
Specialist equipment and tools to continue Hope’s programme at home
Any applicable import charges on equipment brought home

Every penny raised will go directly towards helping Hope (and if there’s any left over we will use that to fund the vision of setting up our own centre here in Northern Ireland).

You can follow more of Hope’s journey on Facebook and Youtube
