Just4Children are helping a determined little girl access vital therapy and specialist equipment to build strength, improve mobility, and gain independence so she can thrive every day.
On 20th April 2022, Ciarla Herron was born prematurely at 32 weeks, facing the challenges of Periventricular Leukomalacia (PVL) and bilateral cerebral palsy. From the very start, life has been full of obstacles most children never have to face.
Ciarla is a bright, happy, and determined little girl from Belfast who loves exploring the world around her. She uses a K-walker and wheelchair to help with mobility, as she cannot stand or walk unaided. She tires easily and experiences limb pain, yet she meets every day with courage, resilience, and a smile that inspires everyone around her.
Recently, specialist physiotherapy has already made a remarkable difference in her strength, confidence, and movement. With the right support, Ciarla has incredible potential to keep growing, learning, and thriving. She has completed two intensive therapy programs—one at NAPA and one at Cpotential. These therapies are life-changing, but they come with significant travel, adjustments, and financial challenges for her family.
Ciarla’s Next Steps is a fundraising campaign to give her access to these essential therapies and specialist equipment. Every contribution helps Ciarla build strength, gain independence, and enjoy her childhood to the fullest. By supporting Ciarla, we can help a determined little girl overcome her daily challenges, achieve milestones that matter, and bring joy and pride to her family. Every step forward is a step toward a brighter, stronger, and more independent future for Ciarla.
