New Buggy and Medical Support for Dominic

Just4Children are raising funds to help 13-year-old Dominic, who has Down Syndrome and cerebral palsy, get a new specialist wheelchair buggy and access vital rehabilitation treatment in Slovakia.

Let us introduce you to Dominic, our amazing 13-year-old boy. Dominic was born with Down Syndrome and a serious heart defect. He has been a little warrior since day one. At just 4 months old, he went through two major heart surgeries. Sadly, after suffering a cardiac arrest, Dominic experienced brain damage, which led to cerebral palsy.

Life hasn’t been easy for him but, Dominic faces each day with quiet strength. He is non-verbal, cannot sit or walk on his own, and depends fully on an adult for all his daily needs: eating, bathing, dressing, and everything in between. He requires round-the-clock care, and he gives us so much love in return.

One thing that makes a huge difference in Dominic’s life is his wheelchair buggy. It’s not just equipment. It’s his lifeline to the world around him. It’s how we take him to his appointments, out for fresh air, and on little adventures that bring him joy. Unfortunately, Dominic has outgrown his current buggy, and we need to get him a new, specialized wheelchair buggy that suits his needs.

We’re also hoping to take Dominic to the Axis Medical Centre in Slovakia, where he can receive rehabilitation therapy tailored to his condition. But both the buggy and the treatment come with high costs — and that’s why we’re reaching out.

If you’re able to support us, in any way at all, it would mean the world to our family. Your kindness will directly help Dominic get the care, comfort, and mobility he truly deserves.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for reading, caring, and being part of Dominic’s journey.

Dominic’s parents, Vira and Audrius
