Toddlers raise money for Jacob

A toddler group took part in a treasure hunt and enjoyed some games to raise money for Jacob’s Journey.

Members of the Tuesday Tots group, from Christ Church, wanted to raise money for the appeal to help two-year-old Jacob Baird, from Weston, who has cerebral palsy.

Jacob has spastic diplegic cerebral palsy which means he suffers from stiffness and spasms in his legs, making it impossible for him to walk. His family are trying to raise £65,000 to pay for Jacob to go to America for an operation and intensive physiotherapy, which would enable him to walk for the first time.

One of the members of Tuesday Tots knows Jacob and his family and wanted to help with the appeal. The group took part in a trail around Nailsea School and Tesco provided drinks and snacks for the participants.

Jacob and his family also attended to thank people for their support and join in with the festivities.
