Just4Children are fundraising for therapy for Jackson who has had SDR surgery and needs therapy to enable an active life and give him the best quality of life possible.
Jackson is aged 5 from Irvine. Jackson who had SDR (Selective Dorsal Rhitzotomy) surgery in April 2018 has had intensive therapy since but will need to continue this to achieve his fullest potential.
Since having the SDR surgery in April 2018 he has been to Perth 4 times for a week of intense therapy each time. He had two weeks in Slovakia amounting to 72 hours therapy. One week in Lanzarote with another two weeks booked for this year for 18 hours of therapy in 6 days which included therapy in water.
This has all been on top of his sessions with his personal trainer which are now twice weekly from 5 times weekly. Jackson also attempted boxing for a few months. Like everything covid put a stop on his training for a while and with a growth spurts in between he has had to work extra hard to get back to where he was.
Jackson’s new hobby is boccia which he attends weekly in Ayr and he is good at it. He continues to play darts 24/7 and enjoys keeping active. This altogether allows Jackson’s muscles to get stronger and work in a way his body never did before his surgery, however all comes at a cost paid by us and the donators which we are very grateful for.
