Just4Children are wanting to raise money to assist with the cost of equipment, physiotherapy and future treatments for Bonnie.
Bonnie is from Essex and was born in August 2017. She arrived on her due date, but due to complications at birth Bonnie spent her first 4 weeks in hospital both locally and in London. At birth Bonnie suffered a lack of oxygen and has now been diagnosed with severe brain damage, Dysphagia (lack of a swallow), Quad Dystonic Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy. She wasn’t given a good chance of survival at the start but here we are over 7 years later with this amazing little girl, although she does still have recurring chest infections which means she ends up in hospital requiring extra support with oxygen and antibiotics.
Bonnie is now 7 years old and to ensure that she has the best opportunities for the future, the more experiences, and therapies we can give her during these early years of development, we hope, will help her as she continues to grow. With this in mind, we are keen to increase Bonnie’s MAE’s therapy sessions having enrolled her with a MAE’s physiotherapist in 2019.
Given that Bonnie’s development remains uncertain, so too does our understanding of what additional equipment she may need as she grows. This all comes at a considerable cost which led us to starting this campaign.
As Bonnie’s parents we really want to ensure Bonnie has the best opportunities in life so we are seeking to raise money for Just4Children to assist with the costs of the additional therapies and equipment that she may need now and in the future.
