Help Henry fight muscle tightness caused by cerebral palsy and give him the opportunity to walk independently.
Henry is from Stafford and was born prematurely at 28 weeks in 2014, weighing just 2lbs 14oz. He was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy when he was 2 years old. Henry’s condition is spastic diplegia, meaning that his legs are predominantly affected with only minor impact on his arms.
Henry underwent SDR (selective dorsal rhizotomy) surgery in November 2018 at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and now the hard work really begins, with the next 2 years being critical in Henry’s development.
The money raised will help contribute to Henry having the best possible chance at walking independently. Henry will still need to continue Physiotherapy for the foreseeable future.
There are a number of areas where your donations will help, such as:-
Private physiotherapy and hydrotherapy sessions;
Intensive rehabilitation at centres such as SDR Fitness in Cardiff;
1-1 swimming lessons, hippotherapy and disability trampolining sessions;
Specialist footwear and orthotics;
Extra equipment and home adaptations.
Walking is something we all take for granted. Help Henry fulfil his dreams by allowing him to take his first steps unaided.
