Stephanie Millward is now a Patron and Ambassador for Just4Children

Stephanie Millward was on the verge of the British able-bodied swimming squad before being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) when she was only 17. She returned to competitive swimming 10 years later in the GB Paralympic squad at the Beijing Olympics, before going on to win four Olympic silvers and one bronze at the London 2012 Games. She is also a multiple IPC World & European champion.

“I feel very, very privileged to be asked to be a Patron of the wonderful charity Just4Children,” says Stephanie.

“We are delighted that such an inspirational and lovely woman has become a Patron. Stephanie has faced so many huge challenges in her life and has kept going, always smiling,” comments Sheena Dunne, Chair of Trustees. “We hope her training goes really well for the Rio Paralympics.”

Paying the Price is an honest account of the struggles and dark times of Stephanie’s illness, and yet is inspirational in her subsequent battle to go on and achieve so many of her goals regardless.
