STAR-STUDDED FOOTBALL MATCH AT CRAWLEY TOWN, SUPPORTING JUST4CHILDREN CHARITY
Sellebrity Soccer, the charity football organisation, is raising money for Just4Children with a celebrity game being hosted by Crawley Town Football Club on Monday 7th May.
The bank holiday game at the Checkatrade Stadium will draw celebrities from all over the UK, including stars from TV and the music industry. Confirmed names so far are Locksmith from Rudimental; model and TV personality Calum Best; Ex-Atomic Kitten star Kerry Katona; TOWIE’s Dan Osbourne; X Factor star Stevi Ritchie and EastEnders actor Dean Gaffney, to name just a few. (Full list below.)
Kevin Cooper, ex-Wimbledon record goal scorer and co-founder of Sellebrity Soccer, is proud to be helping Just4Children with this star-studded match, which aims to raise enough money to pay for four year old Buzby from West Sussex to have surgery to help him walk.
Kevin explained – “Buzby has quadriplegic cerebral palsy and huge difficulties with movement. At four years old, he has incredible motivation despite his condition. He has continued to amaze doctors since he was born, who didn’t think he would make it out of hospital – but he’s a real fighter.”
“The much needed surgery for Buzby will help him to overcome the high tone and spasticity in his legs so in time he can walk, run and jump like other boys his age and hopefully even play football himself!”
Sellebrity Soccer has organised hundreds of celebrity football games up and down the country since 2012, raising vital funds for charities like Deaf Football, Football in the Community and recently the Bradley Lowery Foundation with their match at Everton Football Club.
Other celebrities confirmed for the Crawley match are Love Island star Alex Beattie; Simon Webbe and Antony Costa from boyband Blue and TV chef Dean Edwards; with more names being added every day.
