Just4Children are fundraising to raise money for Otis to enable him to receive physiotherapy and specialist equipment, including an off road wheelchair.
Otis is aged 3 from Ipswich. He has a rare genetic condition called STXBP1 disorder which has resulted in difficult to manage epilepsy and global developmental delay.
Otis will be 4 in April and he has a lot of additional needs as he is non-verbal, and not able to sit, crawl or walk as yet and is not able to grasp objects with his hands.
Otis is a very happy and chill boy. He can express himself with vocalisations and has some hilarious facial expressions to let you know if he is annoyed. He loves to watch tv and listen to music, and he loves engaging with adults and children.
As any parent would we want the best for Otis, and strive to do everything we can to help him develop and access the world.
At the moment we are looking at buying an off road wheelchair so we can take Otis on more varied walks, and some more specialist equipment recommended by his physio which is not provided by the NHS.
We have never asked for charity, but feel so honoured and grateful to the people who want to help us.
