‘Miracle’ child Emmy looking for help
A Basingstoke family has started a campaign to raise the funds needed to provide life-changing surgery for their two-year-old daughter.
Emmy King was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy Spastic Diplegia and suffered brain damage after being born eight weeks prematurely.
The neurological condition causes increased muscle tone in the legs and feet, making them constantly stiff and difficult for those affected to move around independently.
But with surgery available in the USA with the potential to help Emmy walk on her own one day, mum Carly has appealed to the public to help raise the £85,000 needed to give her daughter ‘the chance to live a normal life’.
