Aiden with cp takes on challenging walk

A 6-year-old boy who has cerebral palsy has completed a walk without his frame or cane to raise money for crucial physiotherapy.

Aiden Thomas, of Haverhill’s Arrendene Road, needs intensive physiotherapy so that he will be able to walk independently as an adult. His family have launched a bid to raise the thousands of pounds needed to keep funding his weekly two-hour sessions.

Aiden decided to take on a fundraising challenge himself, and on Sunday the Thomas family travelled to London for a disability-inclusive walking, running and pushing event.

Aiden took on a 100m walk without the frame or cane he usually needs to help him get around. Mum Vicky said: “He did really, really well, he enjoyed it.”
