Rosa is aged 4 from Newton Abbot. Rosa had to be resuscitated at birth and spent two weeks in Special Care Baby Unit and a week in Children’s Hospital to learn to breathe and eat on her own.
Her genetic condition brings a whole host of symptoms including: global delay, hypotonia, deafness, blindness, learning disabilities, brain abnormalities, constipation, frequent chest infections and mobility issues and she also has type one diabetes. This means she will require many different therapies and medical interventions. She requires allot of equipment to help her access the world.
Despite Rosa’s differences and barriers her condition gives her she lives a full and happy life. Our aim is to raise enough money to provide Rosa with the equipment, therapies and environment she needs to be able to access the world around her and maximise her potential.
We hope to raise funds in the first instance to provide Rosa with a suitable wheel chair adapted vehicle, an adapted trike for physio therapy and an off road wheel chair so she can access her surroundings in the rural area in which they live.
