Just4Children are looking to raise funds for Libbi-Faith to have Home adaptions which will help with moving Libbi in and around the home instead of carrying her with the risk of dropping her.
Libbi is a lovely 11 year old girl who suffered a severe brain injury at birth, which left her starved of oxygen for up to 20 minutes. As a result of this Libbi has been left with a global delay and quadraplegic Cerebral Palsy. Libbi needs constant care and help with the everyday tasks most of us take for granted, getting dressed, personal care, moving throughout the house to different rooms, and is still being carried up and down the stairs between bed and wheelchair daily.
We have recently moved to a more suitable sized house for Libbi’s growing equipment and needs, although we are now needing to raise funds for Just4Children to support adaptations and modifications – an external lift from downstairs to her bedroom being our first priority.
Libbi loves to move around in her walking frame so space is extremely valuable. An internal floor lift which has been suggested by our local authority would drastically restrict her walking area downstairs and her bedroom space too! We also have a wetroom and would like to purchase a changing and shower bed to make Libbi’s personal care more comfortable for her.
Having these adaptations will help Libbi and us as a family!
