Just4Children are raising funds to help support Isabella with physiotherapy and specialist equipment to help her strengthen her muscles and gain better Motability and to be able Communicate.
At birth Isabella suffered a Haemorrhage (stroke) on the left side of her brain which caused white matter loss, damaging pathways that control movement and the right side of her body. At 12 weeks old we also found out that Isabella has a very rare Chromosome Abnormality called 8P Inverted Duplication and Deletion.
Isabella is 6 years old from Brentwood and despite all her little set backs in life she remains to be the most happiest and loving of little girls, whose strength and determination amaze me and fights with a smile every day.
Having a dual diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy and 8P has impacted Isabella’s life greatly.Isabella is unable to do most things that typically a child would be able to do. She is unable to walk and stand independently, crawl and has hypotonia, meaning her muscles get very tight and has no balance. Isabella is also unable to talk and communicate with me to express herself at present.
Just4Children are raising funds to help my Izzy receive continued private physiotherapy to help her get stronger and also a Eye Gaze System is needed to enable her to be able to communicate with me and express herself. Unfortunately, we cannot rely on the NHS to help Isabella and give her the much needed therapy and funding for specialist equipment as there is just not enough to go round for children like Izzy.
Despite all of Izzy’s obstacles one of her greatest strengths is Izzy’s ability to communicate using her eyes. We have recently been using an Eye Gaze System on loan and she has wowed us all with how quickly she is understanding and using the system for communication and expressing herself. She is a joy to watch and I am fighting so my little girl can have her voice.
Like most other parents whose children are disabled, funding for all of the therapies and equipment’s are so very expensive and financially exhausting. Please donate if you are able.
