Fundraising for Saul for future physio, purchasing of specialised equipment and a life changing op called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy which would give Saul the independence he strives for.
Saul is a twin born 12 weeks premature weighing 1lb from Tarbolton in Ayrshire. At 18 months Saul was diagnosed with Spastic Diplegia Cerebral Palsy.
Saul suffers from extreme muscle tightness in his legs which often can be painful. He cannot stand or walk unaided. We have tried different treatments and medicines to help with his condition but we have not had great results. Our objective now is for Saul to have a spinal operation (SDR) which would dramatically reduce his spasticity but sadly this op cannot be funded by the NHS.
Saul could be a possible candidate for St Louis Children’s Hospital in the USA. This op would immeasurably improve Saul’s quality of life, freeing him from spasticity and pain, and allowing him to stand independently and potentially walk.
Like every parent we long for endless opportunities for our boy. We would be exceedingly grateful if you could support us on Saul’s journey and help make his dream come true to walk like his brothers.
