Sean is a 11 year old from Milton Keynes. He has Spastic Diplegia Cerebral Palsy and Just4Children want to help Sean fulfil his dream to walk independently.
Please support Captain Sean!
Sean was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at the age of two and has a condition called spastic diplegia, which means he has increased muscle tone in his legs, causing stiffness and leaving him unable to stand or walk independently.
Sean’s fighting spirit has proved to be infectious. In spite of his disability he is a happy and positive boy who is loved by everyone. Sean’s dream is to be able to live a normal life where he can do simple things like kick a ball and play chase with his friends without falling down because of his poor balance.
We now need help to get Sean’s legs working. First of all he needs a specialist wheelchair. An operation known as SDR could also change Sean’s life. Sadly, it isn’t available on the NHS and it is followed by a minimum of 18 months intensive rehabilitation.
Sean has the warmest smile you will ever see.
