Just4Children wish to raise funds for specialist physiotherapy for Jaxon to give him the best chance to improve his balance and mobility.
Jaxon is from Coalville in Leicestershire and was born at 24 weeks in December 2015. Shortly after he was born Jaxon sustained a grade 4 (the worst possible) bleed to his brain. This has left Jaxon with spastic diplegic cerebral palsy, hydrocephalus (water on the brain), epilepsy, nystagmus, global developmental delay chronic lung disease and hyposensitivity.
We have found private therapy in Oxfordshire that use a ‘spiders web’ equipment to attach the children too which enables them to stand with their muscles in the correct position while being supported. This increases strength, normalises the muscles, improves balance, coordination, core stability and confidence.
We are raising money for Just4Children to fund this physiotherapy as well as transport or accommodation costs during the treatment and any equipment he may need not funded by the NHS. Jaxon has already had one block session of therapy and we have seen a significant improvement in his balance and confidence.
