Just4Children needs your help for a very special little 1 year old girl with cerebral palsy from London who desperately needs stem cell therapy.
My name is Anaya and I born 4th March 2017. My life did not start well, but I am a big fighter and I will tell you why. On the happiest day in the life of my parents something happened and my mum suffered a placental abruption – and due to that I was starved of oxygen.
I am diagnosed with HIE grade 3 and spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy. I spent a long 7 weeks in NICU.
Doctors didn’t know if I would survive a week, but look at me now. I am still fighting! For me it’s very hard to move my hands and legs. They are very stiff. And my trunk is weak and it’s hard for me to hold my head or to sit up. I have to work really hard to reach my goals. But the NHS simply cannot provide the physiotherapy with the frequency I am require. I am seeing a physio once every 2-3 months.
That’s why I need private therapies. And it’s really expensive. This year I have been to the Bobath Centre and the Adeli Medical Centre in Slovakia. My biggest dream is to receive stem cells therapy. I have received approval for treatment at the Panama Stem Cells Institute.
Any help for me would be very gratefully received. My life did not start well, but I am not going to give up! I just need your help!
