Just4Children are fundraising so that George can receive the therapy and equipment after SDR surgery that he desperately needs.

George is aged 6 from Warrington and has cerebral palsy. This is a result of brain damage at birth due to a lack of oxygen through the placenta. George can’t walk without his walking frame and uses a wheelchair also. There is no cure for cerebral palsy but there is an operation that can be life changing for people with cerebral palsy called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR).

We have recently taken George to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital where he has undergone many assessments and was seen by a neurosurgeon who believes that George will benefit from SDR.

The operation is funded in the NHS but the aftercare is not. The therapy afterwards is important as it will maximise the effect of the surgery.

Any donation will be greatly received.

The decision to put George through surgery has been a tough one but we want George to live the life that he deserves so we need to give him this opportunity.

Thanks for reading.
