Our plan for Stanley is to create a level and accessible garden with a therapy room and hydrotherapy tub.
Stanley Oscar Newman is a happy, bright and funny 4 year old from Clacton-on-Sea in Essex. He was born with a severe form of Congenital Muscular Dystrophy know as LMNA-CMD.
On diagnosis we discovered that LMNA-CMD is a progressive muscle wasting condition which has no cure or treatment. All the muscles in Stanley’s body will continue to deteriorate including his respiratory system and heart, until they give out, probably in his teenage years.
Stanley’s health and well being remain our number one priority. With this in mind we plan to create a level, accessible garden, giving our little man the freedom to explore. Daily therapy is necessary to combat the progressive nature of his condition. A therapy room and hydrotherapy tub would give us the tools to help Stanley fight this relentless condition.
Despite the many challenges, Stanley has taught us all how to remain happy and positive. We are determined to make every precious moment count and enjoy our time together.
Please donate to Just4Children to help Stanley enjoy his oasis.
