We are fundraising for Luke and Jack to have Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR) surgery and the required physiotherapy needed at Alder Hey hospital which is not funded by the NHS. This will be life changing.

Luke and his twin brother Jack were born 13 weeks premature and spent 10 weeks in neonatal at the Liverpool Women’s Hospital. At the age of 2 and a half both boys were diagnosed with PVL (damage to the brain) after having an MRI scan which in turn has led to both boys having cerebral palsy.

Luke and Jack have spastic diplegia cerebral palsy which means they have intense tightness in their lower legs. Whilst we do many different therapies with Luke and Jack, their condition has deteriorated and worsened and has moved from a grading of 2 to a 3. A grade 4 will mean they will lose their mobility and become wheel chair bound which would be devastating.

In order for Luke and Jack to have a painfree and mobile future, SDR is the only option for them.

Both Luke and Jack are wonderful boys, full of smiles and laughter. They also have an amazing big brother Caleb who is six.

Please help Luke and jack have a future where they can walk, jump, run, go to the toilet independently – lots of things we all take for granted.
