Luis is aged 4 from Loughborough in Leics. His cerebral palsy gets in the way of him achieving his full cheeky chap potential! Regular physio and specialist equipment will help him shine like the star he is.
Luis was born 10 weeks prematurely at 3.5lbs. After 5 weeks in intensive care we bought home our beautiful baby boy. At around 1 he wasn’t hitting his developmental milestones and after an mri scan he was diagnosed with quadriplegic cerebral palsy.
Luis is a cheeky, bright little boy who loves to sing and make people laugh. His mobility, however, is severely limited and he cannot sit, walk or stand unaided.
There is no cure for cerebral palsy, the only thing that will help him is regular physiotherapy – and we are not getting this from the NHS. There is also specialist equipment that Luis needs to have more fun and not feel so isolated from his peers.
