Just4Children are raising money for Leon to be able to have intense physiotherapy and other treatments so he can live a pain free and more mobile life.
Leon is from Essex and was born prematurily at 29 weeks gestation. Unfortunately, there were some complications and Leon picked up an infection and was taken to a London hospital where the family were called to say good bye. But, our little man defied the odds and he was finally able to go home after months at the hospital.
Leon was finally home after lots of tests.
Realizing that Leon’s development was very delayed, we eventually received the diagnosis that Leon has quadriplegic cerebral palsy with spasticity in his muscles and global developmental delay.
Leon is a very happy little boy who lives with his nan and grandad. They have done really well in bringing him up and he is defying and shocking every one with how far he has come.
This is a little boy who professionals said wouldn’t live or talk, a little boy who is a true inspiration. Leon can not sit, stand, nor walk unaided. He pushes himself everyday through painful spasms inspite of his body not wanting to move.
Let’s get Leon on his feet!
