Just4Children would like to enable Kayden to have a comfortable happy life. ABR therapy will be very beneficial as Kayden has a weak internal organ system having no head control cannot sit or walk or talk.
Kayden is our 5 year old son from Belfast. When he was born there were no physical or mental signs of disability. Kayden was a ‘normal’ baby who met every new born milestone until he was 7 months old.
Literally over night everything changed. He has no head control and could no longer sit unaided, giggle, laugh or make noises. We were initially told he had had a stroke but after an MRI it was proved he hadn’t.
Kayden has still not been fully diagnosed but has hypomyelination, microcephaly, global developmental delay and dystonia. His overall condition is still pretty much the same although over the past few months he has been giggling and laughing and making little babbles and noises.
He is such a loveable wee character who has the most infectious smile. We as a family are very hopeful of finding answers to what and why this has happened. We just want what is best for our son and to give him as much of a happy comfortable life as we possibly can.
