Please help Just4Children raise £17,000 for stem cell treatment for Harry to benefit and improve his mobility.
Harry is an identical twin from Ashby-de-la-Zouch in Leicestershire who has just turned 10 in November.
The twins were born at 28 weeks. Luke had no complications nor infections and he has developed in to a thriving boy at main stream school. Unfortunately, Harry had a completely different story. He was born 1lb 6oz developing his first infection after 24 hours dropping to 1lb. He had a further 9 infections, 7 of which were critical, 15 blood transfusions and took 12 weeks to reach 2lb.
He left NNU 5 months old at 4lb 11oz on permanent oxygen.
Because Harry had a bleed on the brain at birth which has left him with a small amount of scared tissue on the white matter of the brain, he can’t sit, stand, walk nor talk, is profoundly deaf and communicates with eye pointing. However, in spite of all this Harry has the most amazing sense of humour and he never stops laughing!
Just4Children is trying to raise the money to pay for stem cell treatment to try to improve Harry’s quality of life and to increase his mobility and speech.
Any donations would be so greatly received.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
