Alina is aged 4 from Oxford suffering with cerebral palsy. She needs physiotherapy and various therapies to lead a more normal life.
Alina arrived very early at 26 weeks on the 11th of January 2013, weighing 1.1kg due to an infection. Then, she started to fight for her life having sepsis,
a life-threatening condition that arises when the body’s response to infection injures its own tissues and organs. Soon afterwards she had a brain bleed later leading to a diagnosis of three limb cerebral palsy.
She spent 103 days in NICU, having chronic lung dizziness, and was on oxygen and a feeding tube through all her hospitalisation.
Alina is now 4 years old and she can’t walk or use her right hand too much. She has come a long way but we still have a lot to do to work towards our goal of Alina walking independently.
For that we need (HBOT) Oxygen Therapy every 4 to 6 months and after that she needs intensive physiotherapy to achieve the best outcome for her future quality of life.
She continues to make good progress but we need help paying for all these treatments and the physiotherapy.
Thank you
