Ethan is a bright and bubbly 4 year old boy from Doncaster who is lots of fun to be around. He enjoys school and family life but unfortunately, his cerebral palsy means he has difficulty walking and moving around by himself. His mobility is limited. He uses a wheelchair and walking frame for short distances but muscle stiffness can make him very uncomfortable.
He has achieved a huge amount so far in his life and will achieve so much more with the right treatment, therapy and support. He is being assessed for selective dorsal rhizotomy (SDR) surgery, an operation to permanently reduce the spasticity in his legs. We are raising £35,000 for Just4Children to fund this life changing surgery, which will be carried out in Leeds in the UK. This will cover the surgery itself and two years of intensive physiotherapy.
The surgery will provide greater independence and the chance to play more easily with his friends. It can prevent joint problems and reduce the need for medication that makes him tired.
Thank you for your support.
