Malachi is aged 5 from Hucclecote in Gloucestershire. He became ill at 6 weeks old and stopped breathing several times ending up on a ventilator for nine days. It was discovered that his brain had not received enough blood or oxygen leaving him with a severe brain injury.
The prognosis was very uncertain and the list of possible affected areas long. He has been left with seizures, sight impairment, cerebral palsy, eating and sleeping issues, global development delay and severe reflux. This all affects his life every minute of every day.
The great news is Malachi is a happy smiley champ who has learnt to sit up and say single words. He loves cars and playing with his big brother. We are raising money for more intensive physiotherapy to help him move more freely, for equipment and adaptations which help him to engage in life more fully and other therapies to help him in developing more skills.
Malachi loves life and is developing every day – let’s support him!
