A five year old boy from Leicester with cerebral palsy battling against everything thrown at him needs your support.
Bleu was conceived a twin but his twin sadly died half way during pregnancy, resulting in Bleu being born with stage 5 cerebral palsy. Bleu is affected in all four limbs (quadriplegic). He also has spasticity and a severe case of dystonia. Alongside this Bleu also has epilepsy, respiratory issues, sleep apnea and brain malformations.
Bleu is unable to do anything for himself including, he cannot roll, sit, talk, walk or feed himself and everyday life is a struggle for him and his family. Bleu is also tube fed due to having a extremely unsafe swallow.
Bleu is now 5 years old and has been through some things people will never experience in a life time. Bleu has had numerous hospital stays for months at a time mostly for severe chest infections and being unable to breath. Back in 2018 he fought for his life in intensive care on life support and was resuscitated twice. Medically bleu was not thought to make it but he surprised us all and fought through.
Bleu is a beautiful smiley happy loving little boy despite his daily struggles.
We have been tirelessly raising thousands of pounds for Just4Children so that Bleu can have an operation called selective dorsal rhizotomy which is a operation that is NOT funded on the NHS for Bleus severity of the condition. Bleu underwent this operation on 6th June 2019 and his spasticity have drastically reduced in his lower limbs which means he is out of the horrendous pain he has endured the last 5 years of his life.
For the operation to work to its potential Bleu need specialised equipment. He has also to undergo intense private physiotherapy every week costing £180 per session. We travel 2.5 hours for him to receive the special therapy he desperately needs which is why carrying on raising funds for bleu is so crucial.
Our beautiful little boy deserves a chance to live a normal life.
