Benjamin has an infectious smile. Behind his smile however is a little boy who is facing heartbreaking challenges. Just4Children are fundraising to allow Benjamin to access the therapy he needs.
After being born prematurely in February 2015 in Swindon Benjamin left NICU with no known health concerns. When Benjamin was 5 months we knew things were not right and tests confirmed our worse fears that Benjamin could not see.
We remained positive. Further tests however then brought our world tumbling down when an MRI showed that Benjamin had PVL (Brain Damage). Benjamin is now registered blind, has Cerebral Palsy and suffered from a rare form of Epilepsy known as Infantile Spasms.
All of these conditions together mean that Benjamin has Global Development Delay. He can not sit unaided, crawl, stand or walk but he is starting to find his voice! Through Just4Children we hope to provide Benjamin with the extra therapy, treatment and equipment he needs so he can lead a life without limits!
In addition, we want to create a sensory room within our home and within our garden. A space where he can be independent and have access to the equipment he needs.
Benjamin is an incredibly loving boy and our wish for him is that one day he will smile because he can walk with his brothers and see the world around him.
Thank you for supporting Benjamin’s future.
