Aurora is aged 4 from Dunmow in Essex and was born term at Addenbrookes Hospital after a very traumatic birth where she became stuck. She was diagnosed with a mild hearing loss at just 7 days old.
Things didn’t really become apparent until Aurora wasn’t reaching your typical ‘normal’ milestones and when she was just a year old was diagnosed with a movement disorder (presents like cerebral palsy spastic diplegia) and Global Development Delay.
She has continuous therapies of all kinds and has physio at least once a week.
Last year she had 2 separate operations on her eyes to remove cataracts and most recently 7 weeks ago on her left eye to remove scar tissue.
This little girl is an absolute gem. Everyone that knows her are mesmerised by her gregarious personality. She is a social butterfly and we want her to reach for the stars.
She has just learnt to crawl properly and she is working hard on pulling herself up and onto walking with an aid.
The money that is raised goes towards her continuous therapies and equipment needed which isn’t funded on the NHS. This includes visits to the NAPA Centre in the US.
