Alara’s Little Legs
Alara has been approved for life changing spinal surgery SDR in America. This surgery will get Alara’s little legs working and potentially walking in the future.
This is Alara. She is a happy smiley 3 year old with a big personality from Largs in North Ayrshire.
Alara was born very premature and after a traumatic entry into the world she proved she was a fighter during her first 8 weeks of life in the neonatal intensive care unit.
In Alara’s first year of life she started falling behind with her physical milestones and was soon diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy due to her premature birth.
Alara’s Cerebral Palsy mainly affects her legs. Alara can’t stand or walk without support because of the stiffness and pain in her legs. Nevertheless, she is so determined to try and walk every single day! Despite Alara’s physical difficulties she is a typical 3 year old, chatty, bright, loving and full of fun.
The good news is Alara has been approved for life changing spinal surgery SDR (Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy), by Dr T S Park in America and he predicts with surgery and intensive physio Alara shows the potential for independent walking in the future. Surgery will permanently remove the stiffness and pain from Alara’s legs which will allow Alara to move more freely and without pain.
Alara needs this surgery urgently as it’s recommended at a young age.
All money raised will go towards Alara’s life changing surgery and intensive physio.
Like every parent we will do anything for our daughter but we need your help to raise this money for Just4Children. We will be eternally grateful if you could support us on Alara’s journey.
Thank you
