Our little warrior Owen has survived against all odds. Now we want to help him in his next battle – a great quality of life despite a severe brain injury.
Owen Paul Murphy was born in Liverpool on 7th July 2016 starved of oxygen for over 20 minutes and needing resuscitation for over 30 minutes. Owen was not expected to survive the night.
After a long period in intensive care, Owen came home and has been living up to his namesake of ‘Little Warrior’ ever since. Owen fills our lives with love and happiness but the future is unknown. After suffering a severe brain injury due to oxygen starvation it is highly likely Owen will have a number of disabilities, the severity of which are wait and see.
We are determined to give Owen every opportunity to reach his full potential. He is a smiley, loving little boy who deserves an amazing quality of life. A number of therapies available are not accessible on the NHS and are very expensive, such as intensive physiotherapy and stem cell therapy.
This is what has led us to launching ‘Our Little Warrior’ Campaign.
Please help Just4Children raise as much as possible to help our boy have the quality of life he deserves.
